Cute, cheap and simple.
Aren’t those the three aspects most of us hope for when making some type of cute decoration?
Well, Pom-Pom Pumpkins are really cute and easy to make. They are perfect for a simple, fun activity to do, or if you are looking for something cute to do with some kiddos.
Here is what you’ll need:

- Soft, fluffy, orange yarn
- Green pipe cleaners
- Black felt fabric sheets
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pom-Pom Maker (optional, using three fingers will work)
Get Started:
- Grab your Pom-Pom Maker and wrap the yarn loosely round it.
- Continue to wrap around it until it is nice and puffy. Cut the excessive yarn off.
- If you have a Pom-Pom Maker, you can use the maker to wrap the yarn around. However, you can use three fingers to wrap the yarn around if you do not have a maker.
- Grab a green pip cleaner and wrap it around the center of the yarn.
- Wrap it tightly around it and slide the yarn off of the maker.
- Use your scissors to cut the loops of the yarn free on both sides of the pipe cleaner.
- After you cut the loops, start trimming the yarn with the scissors in order to form a ball shape.
- Continue to trim the yarn until you have a round, pumpkin shape.
- Grab the black felt fabric sheet and cut out a face for your pumpkin.
- Glue on the face to your pumpkin.
- Cut off the excess green pipe cleaner in order to make a cute stem for the pumpkin.
- Then you are done and have your own little Pom-Pom Pumpkin.
You can make these little Pom-Pom Pumpkins in order to place them around the house, place them in goody bags, or you can do what I did:
Tie them to some string and hang them around the house!
